Project enquiry Start your room.

There are no showroom visits and no meetings — which means everything the room needs has to arrive here. This is longer than a contact form on purpose: it is the discovery, done once, in your own time. Nine short sections, about fifteen minutes, and a room can be designed from it.

How this works

Three steps, and no meetings in any of them

01

You send the brief

Everything below, in one pass. Photographs follow by email — the confirmation tells you exactly which ones.

02

I reply with a fixed quote

Within two working days, with an invoice and a start date. If the room isn’t a fit for the package you chose, I’ll say so and tell you which one is.

03

The day starts when it’s paid

For a Signature Concept the work is one working day, and the eight documents arrive at the end of it.

01 · The package

Which one are you asking about?

Only the Signature Concept has a fixed price and a fixed turnaround. The other two are quoted per project — that is what the reply is for.

02 · The room

What are we working on?

List them as you’d walk through the house. Include anything that is staying exactly as it is.
The most useful question on this page. Not what you want it to look like — what fails in it. Write as much as you like.
03 · The space itself

Measurements and light

Approximate is fine everywhere except the plan. Pace it out if you have to — a wrong number is worse than a rounded one.

Which way do the main windows face? * This decides the palette more than any other single fact. If you don’t know, open a compass app and stand at the window.
A neighbour’s wall two metres away, a skylight, one enormous window and one tiny one, a room that only works after dark.
What kind of building?
Is anything structural changing? Walls moving, plumbing relocating, built-in joinery, new flooring. A Signature Concept works with the room as it stands; if any of this is a yes, the project is probably a Signature Space and I’ll say so in the reply.
04 · How it’s lived in

Who is actually in this room

Times of day matter as much as people. A room used at seven in the morning and a room used at nine at night are two different designs.
Anything the room has to survive? Tick everything that applies.
05 · What stays

The pieces that are not moving

The single biggest constraint on any room, and the one most briefs leave out. An inherited table changes every decision downstream of it.

Include anything you love, anything you can’t replace, and anything expensive and recent. If genuinely nothing is staying, write “nothing” — that is useful too.
06 · Direction

Where the design starts from

Every project begins from your persona result rather than from a style. If you have taken the assessment, the link below is the most useful thing on this page — it is a whole conversation you don’t have to have.

Do you know your design persona?
Paste the link from your result email. If you haven’t taken it, the assessment is free and takes ten minutes — start it here and come back. Nothing on this page will be lost if you open it in a new tab.
Be specific and be unfair. What a person can’t stand narrows a design faster than what they like.
A Pinterest board, an Instagram collection, a folder of screenshots. Paste the link — make sure it’s public or shared with anyone holding the link.
07 · Budget and timing

What the room has to be built inside

This is the budget for furnishing and fitting the space — separate from the design fee. A band, not a number. It changes where the money is told to go, not whether the room is any good.

Furnishing and fit-out budget *
When would you like to start?
A move-in date, a birthday, a joiner already booked, a baby. Say so — it changes what can be specified.
08 · Photographs

The room as it actually is

Not styled and not tidied. A cleared, arranged corner tells me nothing; the room on an ordinary Tuesday tells me everything.

What to send
  • One from the doorway, standing still, showing as much of the room as fits
  • One of each wall, straight on, floor to ceiling
  • The view out of every window
  • Anything staying — the table, the sofa, the rug — on its own
  • In daylight, with the lights off, if you can
Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud or WeTransfer, shared so anyone with the link can open it. If that’s awkward, leave this empty — the confirmation email comes from an address you can simply reply to with the photographs attached.
An estate agent’s plan, an architect’s drawing, or a phone photo of something sketched on paper with the measurements written on. Any of the three is a real help.
09 · You

Where to send the quote

Where the room is. It decides what can actually be bought and delivered, and what the light does there.

You’ll get a copy of everything above by email, and a reply within two working days. Nothing is charged and nothing is committed until you accept a quote. We handle your details as set out in our privacy policy, and we never sell your data.

Before you send it

The room is designed around who you are

If you haven’t taken the assessment yet, take it first. It is free, it takes ten minutes, and it is the thing every decision in your room is measured against. Paste the result link into section 06 and the brief is twice the brief.
